LaminationGRP Products - Stop Logs
Here at Vac Jax we have been making stop logs of various sizes for water treatment industries and waste water management programmes for a number of years. They are made from composite GRP (glass reinforced plastic), which is very strong, and will not rust or corrode. Our stop logs are very manageable, quick and easy to fit and also easy to store.

Application
With regards to fitting, they slot on top of each other easily, with grooves to lock the pieces together to provide a complete watertight seal for defence.
The stop log ‘slabs’ are held in place each side by posts also made from GRP. These posts also have grooves in each side where the ‘slab’ will slot in place and will provide a watertight seal. The posts can be fitted primarily so that they are already in place in time for any emergencies.
Depending on the amount of flooding, it may be necessary to use more than one vertical stop log section to protect your property. If the flooding worsens then another section can be quickly slotted on top. In the event that the water may rise whilst you are away or sleeping, an extra section may be fitted on top for peace of mind.
